Well, many of you may already know from the Girl's bulletins, I am back at MD Anderson awaiting surgery.  Recent scans showed new growth of tumors at the original site that brought me here for surgery last September.  I expect to be home in a couple weeks if all goes well.  My daughter will be here later tonight to stay with my wife during the 9 hours in the surgical waiting area.  The good news is the hospital dropped all charges against my wife from the trip in September, and the Anger Management Classes have really seemed to pay off.  We expect far fewer doctors will be harmed this time around.  There is the lingering concern regarding nurses, but since their risk is more along the lines of sexual harassment from me and not direct physical harm, the hospital has agreed to look the other way for the time being.

My sarcoma is so rare that the medical staff crowds into the tiny interview rooms just to get a peek at me.  To them, its as if my body generates precious diamond tumors that are removed and hustled over to a research facility several miles from here.  Because of their composition, they may hold the key to curing many kinds of connective tissue disorders.  I always smile when the doctors tell me this, even though I've heard it dozens of times.  The words are ususally echoing in the room about the time everyone there realizes from the look in my eyes just how fucking special I feel.  No offense to the advancement of medical science, but today is not the day I had picked out to really give a shit.

It looks as though I will be attempting this recovery with only a fraction of the drugs I used on the last go round.  Most made me itch terribly.  My meditation skills are improving, and I think I can muscle through the bad parts.  Your notes, prayers and good wishes all go in the reservoir I will be drawing from in the coming weeks, be it known I need and appreciate each one.

Love to All from somewhere in TX, USA

Hugh

I wish you the best of luck for your recovery!
You seem to be a great person, so I think you really should be better as soon as possible ;)
